Kayak/Canoe paddle on the lower Peshtigo
On Saturday, July 24th, join us for a kayak/canoe paddle on the scenic Peshtigo River Trail. We will put in at the City of Peshtigo east side boat landing. This is the beginning of the trail and is located just below the last dam on the Peshtigo. Our destination will be the boat landing at the mouth of the river where it meets the bay. The paddle can take around 3 hr. 40min but will take longer due to lunch and rest stops. Windy conditions bringing waves from the bay could force us to use a boat landing about ¾ of a mile upstream. This will be determined on paddle day. We will eat our lunch on a sandbar or someplace.
We will meet at 8:00 a.m. at the Citgo/Burger King located on Hwy.41 and the Hwy. B off ramp in Suamico. We will depart at 8:10 a.m. for the Peshtigo area.
